UIDAI extends deadline for Aadhaar Update

The Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI) has announced that it has extended the deadline to update Aadhaar card details without any charges.

The UID holders have been given time until 14th September to complete their Aadhaar card update without incurring any fees, according to UIDAI.

While the Aadhaar card update remains free on the myAadhaar portal, a fee of Rs. 50 is charged in case of offline updates.

Until September 14, 2024, changes in an individual’s name, address, photo, and other details can be updated on the UIDAI website’s online portal without any charges. 

The deadlines for Aadhaar Update had been extended in the past as well. Previously, the deadline was 15th of December last year but then got further extended to 14th March, then 14th June, and now the deadline has been extended to 14th September.
