MHADA Lottery 2024 for Affordable Homes
The Maharashtra Housing and Area Development Authority (MHADA) has received over 68,000 applications for its 2024 lottery, which began last month. They are offering more than 2,000 affordable homes, with prices ranging from ₹29 lakh to ₹6.82 crore.
Since the announcement, the number of applications quickly grew from about 30,000 on August 29 to over 68,000 in just two weeks. This surge happened because MHADA decided to lower the prices of 370 affordable homes by 10% to 25% on August 29.

As of September 11, there have been 68,651 applications, and 49,284 people have already paid the required earnest money deposit (EMD) for the apartments.
Apartment Prices
The homes in the MHADA lottery 2024 are priced between ₹29 lakh and ₹6.82 crore. Most of the more expensive apartments are in the ₹1 crore to ₹6 crore range. These homes are located in popular areas like Andheri, Antop Hill, Juhu, Goregaon, Tardeo, Vikhroli, and Powai.
The most expensive apartment is in Tardeo, South Mumbai. It costs ₹6.82 crore, covers over 1,500 square feet, and is on a higher floor with views of the Mahalaxmi Racecourse and the sea.
How to Apply
To apply for the MHADA lottery 2024, you need to do it online. You can check for updates and apply on their website MHADA Housing. The last date to apply is September 19.
