- Aadhaar PVC Card: This is the latest form of Aadhaar introduced by UIDAI. It is made of PVC material and is known for its portability and durability. It boasts a secure QR code with digitally signed photographs and demographic details, along with several security features.
Process to Oder Aadhaar PVC Card
- Visit the UIDAI official website or myAadhaar application, and click on the “Order Aadhaar Card” service.
- Enter your 12-digit Aadhaar Number (UID), or 16-digit Virtual Identification Number or 28-digit Enrollment ID.
- Enter the security code.
- If you have a Time-based One-Time Password (TOTP), then choose the option “I have TOTP”. Otherwise, click on the “Request OTP” button.
- Enter the TOTP/OTP received on the registered mobile number.
- Click on the check box against “Terms and Conditions”. You can read the details by clicking on the hyperlink”.
- Click on the “Submit” button to complete the verification.
- After this, a new screen will appear on which the Aadhaar details will shown for verification by the resident before paying the order for re-printing your card.
- Click on “Make payment”. Now, you will be redirected to the Payment Gateway page which has options such as Credit/Debit Card, Net banking and UPI. The Rs. 50/- charges must paid to get the card, the amount is inclusive of GST & speed post charges.
- After successful payment, a receipt will be generated that has a digital signature to open the PDF, and then download. You will also get a Service Request Number (SRN) via. SMS.
- You can track the dispatch of the card. However, the SMS will contain an Air Waybill (AWB) number, once it is dispatched from the Department of Post (DoP). You can also check the delivery by visiting the DoP website.
How to Change Details for Aadhaar PVC Card?
In case, you want some changes in the details of the printed Aadhaar letter or PVC Card, then you have to update your Aadhaar by visiting the Permanent Enrollment Center or through the myAadhaar portal, this depends on the type of update. For instance, the name, and date of birth can be changed through an online portal, but for biometric changes, you have to visit the enrollment centre. The list of nearby enrollment centers, you can check from the website, or book the timing for a visit.
