Adani Wilmar Ltd. fined for violating Legal Metrology Packaged Commodity Rules

According to the exchange filing, Adani Wilmar Limited, a significant participant in the consumer goods industry in India, recently revealed getting a penalty order from the Legal Metrology Officer, Mathura Div, Uttar Pradesh.

In accordance with Regulation 30 of the Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI) Listing Obligations and Disclosure Requirements Regulations, 2015, the company made this announcement.

The Legal Metrology Packaged Commodity Rules, 2011’s Section 18 r/w violation has resulted in a fine of Rs. 50,000 for the global Indian food and beverage business.

On September 9, 2024, the company received the order dated August 21, 2024 via postal mail.
